Student Welfare Student Welfare is a multilateral school partnership for 2006-2009, a EU-project that aims at developing the participating schools by improving their students’ well-being. The participating schools are Alexander-von-Humboldt Gymnasium and Haupt-und- Realschule Steimbke from Germany, Crowmoor Primary School and Silverdale Primary School from England, L.S.Archimede from Italy, Hietaniemi friskola from Sweden and Seinäjoen lyseo from Finland. The Finnish school acts as the coordinator for the project.
Student Welfare –project consists of different themes which are discussed at the meetings held in different countries twice a year. The participating schools share new ideas and learn from each other. Between the meetings schools do their homework, which means reporting on the previous theme and preparing for the following one, and send emails (both teachers and students). The project also includes teacher exchanges and school head visits, perhaps even student mobility in the future.
The special themes are School Meals, Safer Schools, Student Participation, Economic Well-Being and Being Healthy. |
